For good solar potential, a south facing roof with NO shading is most desirable. A west facing roof works almost as efficiently. Slopes of 30 degrees are ideal and a comp shingle or metal roof are easiest for installations.
Systems can be ground mounted, with your spot having NO shading throughout the day. A distance of no more than 300 feet to your meter is desirable.
